Niels Frederik van Tol (1968) grew up in Amsterdam and started to take photography seriously around 2007.

After a short period in commercial work, he shifted his focus in 2011 to a more conceptual approach by embracing analog photography. His work often involves techniques such as long exposure and multiple exposure. He uses his photography as a way to observe and translate his daily life.

Today, Niels develops and prints his own work. He lives in The Hague.
