Niels Frederik van Tol (1968) grew up in Amsterdam and started to take photography seriously around 2007.

After a short period in commercial work, he shifted his focus in 2011 to a more conceptual approach by embracing analog photography. His work often involves techniques such as long exposures and multiple exposures. He uses his photography as a way to observe and translate his daily life.

Niels is currently based in The Hague, Netherlands.
