I first visited Berlin in 1985, back then still a divided city. It made a strong impression on me - grey, raw, and tense, unlike any place I had known until then.
Witnessing the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 became one of the defining experiences of my life. Since then, Berlin has remained a personal reference point - a place I return to regularly, both physically and creatively.
This series brings together photographs made over several decades. Together they reflect my ongoing relationship with the city — and the way it has shaped my sense of history, identity, and the invisible divisions we all carry.
